3. Results 3.1. Variations in Viable Counts Throughout the In Vitro Simulated Digestion ProcessThe viable count of LAB was an important indicator of beverages fermented by LAB [17]. After fermentation, the viable counts of Lr and St were 9.42 and 9.21 log CFU/mL, respectively, indicating that PSPJ was a suitable substrate for Lr and St (Figure 1). The number of viable LAB was decreased during in vitro simulated digestion.

Photocatalyst-free formate-mediated C-O cleavage by EDA complex and SCS strategy for synthesis of diaryl 1,4-diketone in air Under mild visible light conditions, formates facilitate C-O cleavage via the EDA complex and SCS strategy, yielding the α-carbonyl alkyl radicals. This radical then reacts with olefins under air condition, leading to the synthesis of diaryl 1,4-dicarbonyl compounds.

Graphical Abstract Iron-Refractory Anemia In article number 2307022, Yatrik M. Shah, Junxia Min, Fudi Wang, and co-workers show hypoxia and the HIF-PH inhibitor as anemia novel therapies through Hif2α (phoenix) mediated transcriptional upregulation of Fpn (dragon) in the intestinal villi (mountains). Increased Fpn transports more iron into the circulation (depicted by the dragon's breath), thereby treating anemia (red blood cell).
