Police respond to incident at Northeast Circle K, 1 injured

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - El Paso Fire responded to the Circle K on Woodrow Bean and US 54 in Northeast El Paso about 8:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a call to 911 about an injured party. The caller drove the person to the UMC Northeast ER, according to the Fire Department. They were later transported to the main UMC location off Alameda Ave. with serious injuries. No information on what lead to the injuries. El Paso Police are currently investigating.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Two people received serious injuries after an incident reported near Hanks High School in East El Paso. El Paso Fire said they received a call just after 6 p.m. the "reporting party drove themselves and a passenger" to the Providence Montwood ER. The two patients were then taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. El Paso Police blocked the area along Montwood and Noviembre to investigate.

Man dragged during carjacking, police ask for community's help

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - El Paso Police need the public's help in finding the person they say stole a truck and dragged the owner when he attempted to stop him. It happened on April 29 about 9 a.m. at the 8200 block of Echo in Northeast El Paso. Police say the truck's owner was taking groceries into the home when the suspected car thief jumped into the driver's seat of the truck and drove off.
23-year-old man charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter in death of woman

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - The El Paso Police Department reports that Nathan Verdugo, 23, was arrested and charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter after the motorcycle he was reportedly driving crashed onto a barrier at US-54 South near Ramp K in Central El Paso. The crash happened on March 3 just after 12:30 a.m. on the US 54 to I-10 West ramp at the Spaghetti Bowl. Police investigators determined Verdugo was speeding as he enter US 54 South striking the barrier.

Desert Blvd. in Northwest El Paso by the Outlet Shoppes of El Paso. Special Traffic Investigators determined a semi and a trailer broke down along Loop 375 just after 6:20 a.m. Thursday.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - A 19-year-old man died, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, after he was hit by an SUV that was off-roading. Sheriff's investigators say Eduardo Salas died at the scene after he was hit by a driver in a white SUV that was off-roading at Red Sands in Far East El Paso County. The crash was reported at 4:58 a.m. Sunday at 15600 Montana Avenue. Special Traffic Investigators with the Sheriff's Office continue their investigation.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Saturday, May 3 was Election Day for the May 2025 Uniform Election. Voters were able to cast their ballots in several races for board of trustees in the El Paso, Socorro, and San Elizario Independent School Districts among other area races. A total of 9,368 votes were cast in this election, that is only 3% of all registered and eligible voters for the area races. There were 8,067 in person votes and 1,322 cast by mail. There was a total of 319,025 registered voters.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Member of the El Paso Fire Department are near the Ron Coleman Trail in Northeast El Paso after reports of a vehicle driving off the roadway. The call came in at 1:45 p.m. Fire Star has been requested and rescue crews are on the scene attempting to pull the patients from the wreckage. El Paso County Sheriff deputies are diverting traffic from the summit in order to all the helicopter to land safely and tend to the patient.
Wrong way crash, man arrested for DWI

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) - New Mexico State Police arrest a 20-year-old man after he reportedly drove the wrong way along I-10 East near mile post 151 and causing a head-on collision. NM State Police said Isaiah Lopez was westbound on the eastbound lanes of I-10 when he hit a Honda head-on. The female driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries. No word on her current condition. Lopez was arrested and charged with DWI and is at the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
