In a shocking turn of events, Ace Bailey, one of the premier prospects in the 2025 NBA Draft, has canceled his upcoming workout with the Philadelphia 76ers. Bailey was scheduled to fly out on Thursday, June 19, to meet with members of the Sixers’ front office and also participate in a private workout, but late Wednesday night, word came down that Bailey would not be flying to Philadelphia, as reported by ESPN draft expert, Jonathan Givony.

A particularly rare cross-sports “jersey swap” took place at the Philadelphia 76ers‘ practice facility Tuesday afternoon between Justin Edwards and a special guest. The team hosted NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe, who drives the No. 19 car, for a tour of their practice facility, ahead of Sunday’s Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway. Briscoe drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, of which the Sixers’ ownership group, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, is a minority owner.

It all began weeks ago when a team of 30 volunteers from the 76ers and Penn Medicine went to Rufus Williams Basketball Court to pick up trash and clean the court in preparation for the complete renovation.
