The Indianapolis Colts invested heavily in the cornerback position in the 2023 NFL Draft, using three of their 12 selections to address the roster deficiency. Despite being the latest selection of the three aforementioned cornerbacks, former seventh-round pick Jaylon Jones has solidified himself as a mainstay on the roster. Jones has been in an uphill battle for playing time since draft day, fighting with fellow draftees JuJu Brents and Darius Rush for a spot on the roster.

After two seasons on the bench in a mostly special teams role, the Indianapolis Colts finally put their faith in safety Nick Cross last season. The former third-round pick rewarded that faith with a solid season of play, and the 23-year-old has the potential to take an even bigger step forward this upcoming season under Lou Anarumo. Cross' time in the NFL has been up-and-down to say the least, as he saw just over 400 defensive snaps in his first two seasons of play.

The Indianapolis Colts lost a major contributor on their offensive line this offseason, as starting right guard Will Fries signed a massive five-year, $88 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings. After a draft season filled with speculation over whether the Colts would take a guard with a top pick, the plan now appears to be to move former third-round selection Matt Goncalves into Fries' spot. Goncalves, 24, spent most of this past season playing offensive tackle.

The Indianapolis Colts retooled their defensive line room this offseason, letting 1,508 defensive snaps walk in free agency. A majority of those snaps will be eaten up by the return of Samson Ebukam and new additions such as Tim Smith, Neville Gallimore, and J.T. Tuimoloau. Even with that factored in, there is room for players on the roster to increase their snap share in 2025. One such player who could see a bump in snaps is defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore.

The Indianapolis Colts desperately tried to move up in the 2024 draft for an offensive playmaker. After working the phones tirelessly in an attempt to move up for either Malik Nabers or Brock Bowers, the Colts ultimately decided to stick and make their pick at 15. Due to the sheer insanity of the draft class, the first 14 selections of the draft were all on the offensive side of the football.

Feels like a reserve guard signing should be the 91st player. Need another body on the interior

Really solid thread on the Colts DL room. I have slightly different opinions on a few players but a good summary on what the Colts have up front. Really hope we see a jump from Land/Adetomiwa and a return to form from Ebukam

2025 Indianapolis Colts Defensive Line Grades and Roles (thread on players below) This was a surprising team, the DL was built way better than i assumed. A lot more talented than its given credit for. Got Latu as their main pass rusher and Buckner/Stewart major forces inside. https://t.co/mMkBS5l3XN
