SYNOPSIS – It wasn’t quite as widespread as Wednesday afternoon, but isolated showers and thunderstorms still brought some downpours to portions of the region yesterday afternoon. The next couple of days will look similar to yesterday with partly cloudy skies, a lower coverage of afternoon showers and storms, and temperatures warming into the 90s.

SYNOPSIS – Scattered showers and thunderstorms brought some form of rainfall to much of the region yesterday afternoon and evening. Some showers and storms return again later this afternoon, but the overall rainfall coverage should be much lower than what we saw yesterday. Smaller rain chances continue into the early weekend, then rain chances ramp back up for the end of the weekend and early next week as another system approaches the area.

SYNOPSIS – Tropical moisture is streaming back into the region early this morning. We’re dry for now with warm and muggy conditions in place, but we should see an increase in scattered showers and thunderstorms as we head through the bulk of the day. Not everyone sees rain, but a few locations could see some heavy downpours at times. Most of the rain fades away shortly after sunset, then showers and storms take on more of a random, summer-like pattern for the rest of the week.

Our heaviest rain is currently falling over the Florida panhandle with much smaller showers popping up farther north. Isolated showers and storms will continue to be possible through the afternoon. Temperatures are in the 80s, but those heat indices are well into the 90s. https://t.co/NWUn8NisyN

It's warm and muggy early this morning with temperatures in the 70s and some patchy fog developing over a few locations. Rain chances are on the increase this afternoon as another round of showers and storms pop up around the area. https://t.co/AmaJWaZ3xX

Isolated showers and storms are already popping up out along the Gulf Coast. Those cells likely become more scattered to numerous into the afternoon. Don't let those higher rain chances discourage you from being outside, including our Hometown Tour stop at Fort Novosel! https://t.co/rmI7bjIfEM
