SYNOPSIS – Our Monday got off to a stormy start especially over our eastern counties with a few tornado warnings and a radar-confirmed tornado in Early County west of Blakely. The severe weather threat is winding down this morning, but we could still see additional chances for rain as temperatures turn cooler through the rest of the day. After a summer-like end to last week, much of this week features seasonable temperatures as clearer skies move in for Tuesday and beyond.

SYNOPSIS – Dry and unseasonably warm conditions continue with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies over the next couple of days, then rain chances are back on the increase as we close out the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible later Sunday afternoon, and a few of those storms could be strong. The severe weather threat fades, but some rain could continue to fall Sunday night and into Monday morning.

SYNOPSIS – Yesterday’s high of 90° set a new record in Dothan, and near-record warmth is expected to continue through the rest of this week. We’ll close out the week with cloudy mornings and mostly sunny afternoons as highs eventually warm at least into the middle and upper 80s. Cooler air starts moving in as rain chances start to increase on Sunday, but our best rain chances hold off until late Sunday night and early Monday morning.

Sunny skies have already warmed temperatures into the lower 70s late this morning. That's already as warm as our last couple of afternoon highs have been. We'll continue to see sunny to mostly sunny skies into the afternoon with highs in the middle to upper 70s. https://t.co/KC31bqgKZj

Scattered thunderstorms develop over northern Alabama later this evening and quickly move south through the night. A few strong storms could make it to our northern counties after midnight, but before sunrise Friday morning. Gusty winds and hail are the primary threats. https://t.co/zscf1mSIZm

I'm not seeing any indications of it happening just yet, but be ready for a couple areas of patchy fog that could develop early this Thursday morning. Clouds are on the increase north of us, but it's another clear, cool, and quiet morning for us with temps in the middle 40s. https://t.co/ftuFDD4W4k
