Editor’s summaryPlasmodesmata are plant cell wall channels that facilitate intercellular trafficking of molecules. Precise trafficking of molecules between cells is critical for cellular growth and development. However, how these cell wall channels are formed is poorly understood. Studying the small mustard plant Arabidopsis, Li et al. found that plasmodesmata bridges are formed through endoplasmic reticulum–driven incomplete cytokinesis.

Abstract:The coordinated development of the Water-Land-Food (WLF) nexus is important for realizing sustainable food production and ensuring national food security. Based on the symbiosis system theory, this study used the Entropy weight TOPSIS method to calculate the WLF nexus of 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China from 2003 to 2019.
