    The Iowa High School Boys Tennis Coaches have released their All-State Teams. Four area players have been honored. In 2A, Cedar Falls Ben Smalley was named to the Second-Team. And in 1A, Waterloo Columbus’ Parker Stroh was selected to the First Team, while two Waverly-Shell Rock players were recognized. The Go-Hawks Matthew Judka was named to the Second Team and Brady Willis is on the 1A Third Team.

Fort Dodge swept a doubleheader from Waterloo East 13-3 and 11-1. and Waterloo Columbus downed Hudson 12-2In Softball: Linn-Mar took a pair of games from Waterloo West 4-1 and 11-0. Fort Dodge swept a doubleheader from Waterloo East 14-1 and 12-2. And Waterloo Columbus outscored Hudson 7-6.

    The State Co-Ed Golf Meets took place yesterday. Cedar Falls’ Molly Ratchford and Anthony Galvin shot a 68 to claim the 2A title held at Cedar Pointe in Boone. Ratchford and Galvin won by three-strokes. Grundy Center’s Leah Larson and Judd Jirovsky were the 1A co-ed state champions at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown. Grundy Center’s Avery Knutsen and Preston Martens were the runners-up.
