    It was another overtime thriller in Muskegon, between the Waterloo Black Hawks and Muskegon Lumberjacks Saturday night in Game 4 of the Clark Cup Finals. This time, though, the Black Hawks came out on top, 3-2. The Hawks were able to build a 2-0 lead with less than 2 minutes in regulation of the third period. But the Lumberjacks were able to get two quick goals back and tie the game to send it into the overtime frame.

    At Trinity Health Arena in Muskegon, Michigan, the Waterloo Black Hawks fell in double overtime in game 3 of the Clark Cup Finals as the Muskegon Lumberjacks won 2-1 to take a two games to one lead in the best-of-five series. Lumberjack Ivan Ryabkin broke the 1-1 tie in the second overtime frame with an unassisted goal and secured the win. The Black Hawks now find themselves in a must-win situation for game 4 on Saturday night.

    Organizers unveiled the full route for RAGBRAI 52 Wednesday morning and this year for the first time, riders will cross state lines. On Day 2, cyclists will leave Iowa, taking a 15-mile stretch into Minnesota before returning south through Superior and ending in Estherville. Eastern Iowa towns along the route include Cedar Falls, Oelwein, and Edgewood before the final stop along the Mississippi River. “Take Flight” is the theme for this year’s event.

    The Waterloo Warriors won the 1-A High School Hockey National Championship on Sunday. The Warriors defeated the Lincoln Junior Stars 5-2 in the title game held in Irvine, California. The Warriors fell behind 2-0 after the first period but roared back scoring a total of five unanswered goals; three in the second period and two more in the third. This is the first National Championship for the Warriors, who have gone to the Nationals four times, and twice finished in third place.
