    Nearly 200 more apartment units are coming to Ryan Street in Moncton’s north end. Council approved a rezoning application for three four-storey buildings this week. They will be located just east of Horsman Road near Coleman Lane. Each of the three buildings will have 63 units for a total of 189, according to a staff report. It links to a site that claims to sell an unlimited ride bus pass for $4. “Residents are warned not to click on any links from this page or provide any personal or payment information,” the city said in a news release on Thursday. If you see the fraudulent page, you are encouraged to report it to Facebook for removal.

    An international student has died after a suspected drowning in western New Brunswick. RCMP were called to the Shogomoc Walking Bridge near Nackawic on Monday evening. The River Valley Sun reports the young man’s body was recovered around noon on Tuesday. The teen was from Brazil and attending Nackawic High School, according to the newspaper.

    A New Brunswick town is reviewing raceway safety after a tragic death over the weekend. A three-year-old boy died after being struck by the starting gate during a harness race in Woodstock. Town officials announced Tuesday they have begun a comprehensive safety review of Connell Park Raceway. “This is a necessary and important step to ensure that any future events held at the venue are safe for both participants and spectators,” the town said in a statement on its website.
