Agos

Founded in 1996 by Hrant Dink and his friends, Agos is the first Turkish-Armenian newspaper to be published during the Republican period. Its aim is to address the challenges faced by the Turkish-Armenian community. Agos focuses on important topics such as democratization, minority rights, historical reconciliation, pluralism, and the protection and development of issues within Turkey. As a newspaper representing the Armenian community in Turkey, Agos seeks to connect local perspectives with global matters. As independent journalism faces increasing restrictions and freedom of expression diminishes in Turkey, Agos serves as a vital platform for open discussions.
