Fans will get to see a University of Wisconsin football team in need of a bounce back Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium. Well, as motivated as a team can be in spring practice season, a 34-day stretch that tests players’ resolve. Practice on Thursday at Camp Randall was one of the lighter sessions of the team's 12 practices thus far. Players wore helmets and spider pads and contact on ball carriers was limited.

A transfer quarterback who’s very familiar with one of the University of Wisconsin’s newest football staffers made his pledge to the Badgers late Wednesday night. Hunter Simmons is joining the Badgers after spending four seasons at Southern Illinois. Wisconsin assistant receivers coach Blake Rolan was Simmons’ offensive coordinator during his career with the Salukis. Simmons has appeared in 11 games and completed 91 of 163 passes for 1,021 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

One of the original transfers to join coach Luke Fickell in his move from Cincinnati to the University of Wisconsin football team is moving on. Wide receiver Quincy Burroughs posted on social media Tuesday night that he would be entering the spring transfer portal after two seasons with the Badgers. The Jacksonville, Florida, native appeared in 22 games, tallied five catches for 43 yards and had five total tackles while playing on special teams.
