The University of Wisconsin football program answered a significant question in its 2026 recruiting class on Monday. Wisconsin's new offense is heavy in multiple tight end packages and the recruiting staff was looking for the right fit to come in and help man one of those tight end roles in the future. The Badgers staff believe they found it in Jack Sievers, a three-star recruit out of Everett, Washington. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound recruit plays at Archbishop Murphy High School.

After a good recruiting weekend of adding to the defensive front, the University of Wisconsin football team took a loss in that area Monday. Outside linebacker recruit Carmelow Reed, a three-star prospect from Chicago who committed to Wisconsin in April, posted on his social media pages that he’d flipped his choice to Ole Miss. Reed stands 6-foot-7 and looked to be a good fit for the new style of edge defender the Badgers are looking for, but he’ll no longer be in the plans moving forward.

Appleton North linebacker Ben Wenzel, who secured a scholarship offer from the Badgers this spring, committed to the program during his official visit this weekend. Wenzel is a consensus three-star recruit who has seen interest in his services rise after he posted 83 tackles last fall, according to wissports.net.

The first major weekend of official visits produced the period's first commitment for the University of Wisconsin football team Sunday. Arthur Scott, a defensive lineman from Streetsboro, Ohio, made his pledge this weekend during his official visit. He's the first defensive lineman in the Badgers’ Class of 2026. Scott is listed at 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds and was considering Cincinnati, Michigan State and Rutgers among 15 FBS scholarship offers.
