The bonuses Mark Johnson earned for another championship season coaching the University of Wisconsin women's hockey team totaled more than double the salary he earned when he first started leading the team. The announced attendance for University of Wisconsin men's hockey games at the Kohl Center in 2024-25 was up compared to the season before. The actual number of people attending games was not. That means more tickets went unused as the Badgers fell from No. 10 nationally at the start of the season to a finishing record eight games under .500.
