The Illini missed the cut for the fourth day of stroke play this week in Carlsbad, California. Mike Small’s team struggled mightily on Saturday and Sunday and finished 18th at nationals with a score of +23. The cut line on Sunday to head to the fourth and final round of stroke play was +17.

Illinois great Terrence Shannon Jr. lit it up for the Timberwolves on Saturday night as Minnesota picked up its first conference finals win over the Thunder, who have a 2-1 lead in the series. But it was TSJ who showed out in a game featuring this season’s MVP. Shannon had 15 points on the night — that included NINE that he had in just four minutes in the first half.

For the first time in at least two decades, Illinois Football sold out of public season tickets. In a news release Wednesday, the team said it sold more than 34,000 public season tickets ahead of the 2025 season. Officials said the final season ticket total is expected to exceed 43,000. All of this coming on a day when Illinois added two big-time in-state recruits to its 2026 class. This is getting exciting...

The Illinois Fighting Illini women’s basketball team fortified its 2025 roster Tuesday with the commitment of Long Island transfer forward Gisela Segura. A native of Cervera, Spain, Segura spent the 2024-25 season at LIU after playing four seasons at Division II Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She joins the Illini with one year of eligibility remaining.
