Morrisons Borehamwood. (Image: Google Street View) The café at a Borehamwood supermarket is one of 52 to have its closure announced. Morrisons has said 365 jobs are at risk of redundancy because of plans to close some of its cafes, convenience stores, florists, and fresh food counters announced yesterday afternoon (March 24). One of the cafés set to be axed is inside Morrisons in Stirling Way, Borehamwood.

Flat fire: man arrested on suspicion of 'arson with intent to endanger life' (Image: Hertfordshire Constabulary) Police arrested a man on suspicion of setting fire to a flat in Borehamwood. The force were called to the Brook Road blaze at 6.15pm on Tuesday, January 14. No injuries were reported. Yesterday (January 20) they confirmed a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and assaulting an emergency worker.
