Catholic Review

The Catholic Review stands as Maryland's largest weekly newspaper that operates on a paid subscription model and is delivered by mail. This publication focuses on news that resonates with the Catholic community, covering both national and international stories. It serves as the official newspaper for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The Catholic Review is the modern continuation of the original diocesan newspaper, The Catholic Mirror, which was established in 1833 and ran until 1908. After a gap of five and a half years, the Baltimore Catholic Review was launched under the leadership of James Cardinal Gibbons, who was then Archbishop of Baltimore. Eventually, it was renamed to the more concise title, The Catholic Review.
