Chicago Maroon
The Chicago Maroon is the self-sustaining student newspaper for the University of Chicago, established in 1892. Throughout the academic year, specifically in the autumn, winter, and spring quarters, the Maroon releases issues twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. The newspaper is organized into four main sections: news, opinion (known as "Viewpoints"), arts, and sports. Each late summer, it also produces a special orientation issue (O-Issue) aimed at new first-year students, featuring information about the university and the city of Chicago.
