    The average heating consumption of oil, gas and district heating rose by over 23 percent in Germany between October 2024 and February 2025 compared to the previous heating season, according to energy service provider Techem. Particularly the use of gas for heating saw an increase of 28 percent, Techem said. Germany's northwest was exceptionally dry in the first few months of 2025 and very few regions reached their precipitation targets.
