CMT

CMT, which started out as CMTV, is a basic cable and satellite TV channel in the United States owned by Viacom Global Entertainment Group, a part of Viacom Media Networks. The channel's name stands for "Country Music Television," although that focus has shifted over time. CMT was the first cable channel to be widely available that dedicated itself to country music and music videos. Initially, the channel's content revolved around country music, featuring music videos, live concert recordings, and profiles of country music artists. Nowadays, CMT's programming is largely made up of original reality shows and scripted series, along with reruns of popular shows and films released in theaters.
