Deepika

Deepika is a historic Malayalam newspaper, recognized as one of the oldest in India, having first been published in 1887. It currently remains the longest-running Malayalam newspaper in circulation. The paper releases editions in several cities, including Kottayam, Kochi, Kannur, Thrissur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode. For over a century, it was managed by the Syro Malabar Church of Kerala until it transitioned to Rashtra Deepika Ltd., a public limited company, in August 1989. The newspaper primarily attracts readers from the Syro Malabar Catholic community. The leadership team includes Msgr. Mathew M. Chalil as the Chairman & Managing Director, along with Fr. Boby Alex Mannamplackal serving as the Chief Editor.
