The Cowboys moved quickly in securing a commitment from a quarterback from smalltown Texas. Kase Evans, a 6-foot-3, 198-pound QB from Lexington, Texas, announced on Sunday that he’ll be a Cowboy. He announced his OSU offer on May 21, not even three weeks before pledging to the Pokes. Since the 4th grade I have trained hard to reach my goals. I’m so blessed and thankful to Him above when big goals like this happen.

The Big 12 revenge tour starts at home. By the way, the Cowboys went winless in conference last season so the revenge tour will be extensive. Oklahoma State kicks off its Big 12 slate in late September with a visit from Baylor. Talk about teams going in different directions last year. Baylor struggled from the start of 2024 only to click into gear and finish 2024 hot. OSU at least survived the noncon 3-0 but then went all Ls the last two and a half months of the year.

Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news. • I agree and disagree with these comments about OSU’s quarterback battle: At this point, I don’t think (Hauss) Hejny is the starting quarterback. My gut says (Zane) Flores will be the first starter, given the experience at Oklahoma State. However, I do expect the two quarterbacks to get similar playing time in the first three non conference games, especially the games against UT Martin and Oregon.

If high school phenom Jax Forrest is going to make the United State’s World Team this year, he’s going to have to wait a little longer. Vito Arujau, Forrest’s best-of-three opponent for the World Team spot at 61 kg, requested and received a delay for that series against Forrest because of a nagging injury. Arujau was able to request the delay as a returning world medalist, taking home bronze last year.
