As the sex trafficking trial for Sean "Diddy" Combs enters its fourth day, Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, is on the stand to face cross-examination from Combs' lawyers. The R&B singer testified Wednesday that Combs raped her when she ended their decade-long relationship, and she described a life locked in physical abuse, which she says she couldn't leave after he threatened to release degrading sexual videos of her. She said the videos could ruin everything she'd worked for.

As the sex trafficking trial for Sean "Diddy" Combs enters its third day, Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, took the stand Wednesday to resume her testimony after a day spent recounting grotesque and humiliating details of her life with him. Ventura is considered a star witness for the prosecution and her testimony is particularly valuable. Combs was captured on security video violently assaulting Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. Ventura sued Combs in 2023, alleging years of rape and abuse.

An 89-year-old Winnipeg golfer is proving that age is no reason to slow down. Hank Plouffe, who will be turning 90 in July, hits up Bel Acres Golf & Country Club, just north of Winnipeg, five days a week, from Monday to Friday. "It's the enjoyment of the friendship of the people that you play with," Plouffe said. "It's a game; there's fun to it."And it was friendship that drew Plouffe, who averages about 70 games a season, to the game of golf 57 years ago.

The family of a 33-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman who were killed in a crash on a central Alberta highway last month is pleading for people to drive safely, especially ahead of a long weekend that is typically a busy one on provincial roads.
