GMA3: What You Need To Know
GMA3: What You Need To Know, often just called GMA3, is a daytime news program airing on ABC in the United States. The show first launched on September 10, 2018, under the name GMA Day and was hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines, taking the place of The Chew in ABC's daytime schedule. It was designed as a continuation of the popular morning show Good Morning America. In January 2019, the show was renamed Strahan & Sara to highlight its hosts more prominently. In August 2019, actress Keke Palmer joined as a third host while Haines was on maternity leave, leading to another name change to GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke. However, on March 17, 2020, the show was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and ABC News introduced a new program called Pandemic: What You Need To Know, hosted by Amy Robach to address pandemic-related issues. By June, GMA3 returned with a broader focus on various topics and was officially renamed GMA3: What You Need To Know, suggesting that the previous hosting format with Strahan, Sara, and Keke was no longer in place.

President Donald Trump's severe tariffs against virtually all U.S. trading partners took effect on Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. ET. Among them is a hefty 104% tariff rate on China. Trump has described the tariffs as "reciprocal," saying the steep toll will correct a grievance he's held for "35 years:" that the U.S. is being "ripped off" by trade imbalances.
