Alamo United workers sprang into action in February, days after Sony laid off a total of 70 workers from the two locations, citing a "post-holiday dip" in movie attendance.

At the time, owner Sana Ullah told this publication that while inflation during President Joe Biden's term meant increases in the costs of things like flour, cheese, and even napkins, the market itself simply couldn't stand a $1.50 slice.
