We're just a short drive from Churchill Downs and about an hour from Keeneland, making it convenient for us to attend workouts, interviews, and races at the tracks! Horse Racing Nation is a part of Horse Racing Labs, LLC, which also manages the well-known handicapping brand Super Screener and the contest platform DerbyWars.

It is a rare day when our play of the day is not a win bet around one value contender, but so it goes with race 9 at 4:27 p.m. EDT on Saturday at Pimlico. The allowance optional claimer going 1 1/16 miles on the main track features a coupled entry of Jamie Ness-trained entrants in Walk Away Joe and Melt With You. Walk Away Joe certainly is the primary reason this entry is 3-2 on the morning line, and with Jaime Rodriguez named on both horses, either watch for a jockey change or a scratch.

Shisospicy won the Limestone gate-to-wire after setting a fast pace, and I do have her as the most likely winner here still, as controlling speed still seems a potent weapon against this familiar group.
