INTO

INTO is a vibrant platform for the queer community to share their experiences, passions, challenges, and ideas. We honor the voices of thinkers, advocates, newcomers, and the bold authenticity that defines Gen Z. Our preferences shape how we present ourselves to the world, serving as a unique introduction for anyone interested in understanding us. These are the people, places, and incredibly cool things that we discover, cherish, and proudly share time and time again. We’re all about fostering those connections. We’re all about culture. We acknowledge our history, embrace the present, and strive to shape the future. We enjoy music that makes us want to dance and styles that leave us in awe. We celebrate creators who explore, activists who inspire change, and queens who know how to throw shade. We value open conversations and the art of listening. We share stories of our growth and work towards creating new opportunities. We believe that everything you care about is more valuable than ever. So, what are you passionate about? Find it all right here.

Yesterday, the inevitable happened: Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s bad bromance finally blew up in their faces, and it was glorious to see. The TL;DR: Elon outed Trump as being in the Epstein files, Trump responded by essentially calling him Epstein in Space. But the only thing better than the breakup itself were the gay memes celebrating it.

This week, we’re diving into a deeper theory concerning Amelia Earhart and their mysterious disappearance in the 1930s. We begin our story with—who else?—Gore Vidal.

We might be living in a horrible time for queer rights in general, but never let it be said that we’re not experiencing a Golden Age of queer graphic novels. This year, in addition to a new autofiction book by Alison Bechdel, Andrew Wheeler’s Hey Mary and Lindsay Ishihiro’s Motherlover, we got Checked Out by Katie Fricas, a rollicking tale of libraries, love, and WWI pigeons. Fricas’s debut is wonderfully illustrated and buoyant with hope—something sorely needed in this ridiculous times.

On Tuesday, a District Judge placed a temporary blockage on Trump’s executive order denying lifesaving gender affirming care to trans people in federal prisons. The lawsuit, led by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Transgender Law Center, culminated in Senior District Judge Royce C. Lamberth of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issuing a preliminary injunction against Trump’s January executive order.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, formerly a Fox News host, recently announced that he is stripping the name Harvey Milk from the USNS Harvey Milk, an announcement specifically revealed in a jab at the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month, Military.com reports. This ship, the first to be named after a gay rights icon, was launched in 2021 when former President Joe Biden revealed its name. The ship is a replenishment oiler, providing fuel to other warships at sea.
