GRAND ISLAND, Neb — Food pantry shelves have been restocked after they ran bare but at Hope Harbor in Grand Island the need remains. “This was full here and it’s gone.” Staff members point to a wall of food that disappeared in days. The community food pantry has struggled to meet demand. “It would get full and by the end of the day it was barebones and that was happening daily,” Jennifer Figueroa said. The Lopers played University of Sioux Falls on Saturday and despite leading throughout the Cougars scored on a two-point conversion on the games final play to win it 29-28. UNK led the game 10-0 behind a touchdown run by Isaiah Harris. The junior played two series and his day was done. "He's really good, he came into camp in great shape." said head coach Ryan Held.

Massive fire engulfs acre of recycled cars in Salt Lake City, expcted to burn for days

A massive two-alarm fire erupted early Friday morning at a recycling facility just south of the Salt Lake City International Airport, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky and prompting an emergency response. Crews from the Salt Lake City Fire Department were dispatched around 6 a.m. to 3150 West 900 South after flames and smoke were seen coming from a large pile of recycled vehicles at the facility.
