HEBER CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A Heber City man was arrested Saturday in connection with a road rage incident that left a cyclist with a broken leg after being struck by a truck which then fled the scene. Loren Russell, 43, was booked into the Wasatch County Jail on Saturday, April 19, and is facing multiple charges, including felony aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and failure to yield the right of way.

Vincent Caleb Vasquez, 18, was taken into custody Friday, April 18, while attending a court hearing for the suspected shooter, Tayden Bentley Huntsman, at the Third District Courthouse in Salt Lake City. Vasquez, identified by police as a documented gang member and alleged leader of the 600-block gang, faces charges for allegedly helping Huntsman escape law enforcement and dispose of the murder weapon. The shooting occurred on March 9, 2025, at 7987 South and 6435 West.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Salt Lake City police said they’re seeing significant progress in their efforts to revitalize the Jordan River Parkway Trail following years of public safety concerns and illegal activity. Since the start of the operation, officers have made 33 felony arrests, 49 misdemeanor arrests, and issued 45 citations, primarily for drug paraphernalia and trespassing violations.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A woman was arrested in Salt Lake City after allegedly teaming up with two accomplices to carry out an armed robbery, targeting a man who had invited her back to his hotel room. The investigation began around 2:50 a.m. on April 18, when Unified Police officers responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at The Park Inn, located at 280 West and 2700 South. The victim told officers he had met a woman earlier that night and brought her back to his room.
