There are several 'No Kings' protests planned for Saturday in DFW. In fact there are eight; in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Denton, Frisco, McKinney, Flower Mound, and Burleson. In order to keep the peace and make sure they do not turn violent the way anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles did this week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is deploying 5,000 National Guard troops to various locations across Texas.

We are keeping a close eye on a developing weather system which will impact the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Forecasters are predicting the possibility of tornados and large hail, as well as damaging winds of up to 100 miles per hour. The Weather Channel predicts we could see this system pick up late Sunday night into Monday morning. Texas Meteorologist Jeff Lindner wrote on Facebook:”Significant convective wind event increasing likely over the Red River Valley into DFW metro area tonight.
