KGOU Radio is a comprehensive public radio station affiliated with the University of Oklahoma and managed by OU Outreach. The station's goal is to empower individuals with in-depth knowledge about the issues that impact their lives, enabling them to make informed choices and become more active participants in their communities. KGOU reaches the wider Oklahoma City metro area, as well as towns in Pontotoc, Seminole, and Grady counties, along with parts of northwestern Oklahoma. During the weekdays, it primarily features news and talk shows, while the weekends are dedicated to jazz, blues, and world music, showcasing programs from NPR, PRI, and other public radio organizations.

    Southeast Oklahoma Power Corporation, an energy company, would have built a hydropower project in Pushmataha County. The endeavor would create two reservoirs just south of Talihina on the Kiamichi River. They'd sit right next to each other, but one would be at a higher elevation than the other. Together, these reservoirs would act like a giant battery. When the grid had extra power, it could be used to pump water into the upper reservoir.

    A Remembrance Ceremony takes place Saturday in Oklahoma City at the site of the worst domestic terrorist attack. It was 30 years ago when a massive bomb in a rental truck exploded and destroyed the Murrah Federal Building. That April 19, 1995 event changed lives and the city forever. The Oklahoma City National Memorial was created as a private 501c3 in September 1996.
