Robert Bardin, Northeast Texas Chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes director, said around 120 players were chosen for the NETX FCA All-Stars for football, cheer, baseball and softball. More than 40 Northeast Texas coaches have volunteered for this year’s all-star camps and games. This will be the 15th year for NETX FCA Heart of a Champion Football Game, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, 11th year for softball and 10th for baseball.

    Following the discovery of serious damage to a culvert at Elder Lake and the closure of Synergy Boulevard, the Kilgore City Council is discussing options for repairing what has been described as “catastrophic” damage at the beloved local scenic spot. “Back in October, a sinkhole was discovered and settling in the sidewalk and culvert at Synergy Boulevard and Elder Lake,” Director of Public Works Clay Evers told council members.
