KTSA-AM (San Antonio, TX)

KTSA (550 AM) is a radio station based in San Antonio, Texas, that features a news-talk format. The station was purchased by BMP Radio in August 2006. On July 27, 2009, Border Media Partners, the parent company, was taken over by its lenders in a process described as "amicable" in an FCC filing (source: radioink.com). This takeover occurred after Border Media failed to make a debt payment for two years (source: San Antonio Express-News). Consequently, in 2013, BMP sold KTSA to L&L Broadcasting, which is now known as Alpha Media.

This time, an operation in Kerr County netted 18 arrests of various suspects accused of soliciting minors for sex. If you ever thought you had a say in the pornographic books public schools put in front of your kids, you’d be wrong. And after Governor Tina Kotek put her signature on House Bill 1098 this week, you have even less say. Most news stories on the new law describe it as a “ban on book bans,” even though no books have been banned; just not been displayed for children. Responsible librarians know that some books just ain’t appropriate for kids.
