The Paddock offers a more accessible new event to Monterey Car Week

There’s a new event coming to Monterey Car Week in August 2025, which promises to provide a “fresh, accessible venue for a diverse array of vintage, classic, race and rally, and exotic vehicles”, as well as a “luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere away from the downtown crowds”, according to the organisers. The Paddock is set to make its inaugural appearance on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Bayonet Black Horse golf course on the Monterey Peninsula.
Velocity Invitational 2025 event postponed due to economic climate

Velocity Invitational is to postpone its 2025 event due to what the organisers describe as “the current economic climate impacting multiple elements of the event”. The sixth annual event was originally scheduled for June 6-8 at Sonoma Raceway, California. Previous editions of Velocity Invitational had taken place later in the year, and had been highly successful. We visited the 2023 event, which you can read about here. The event will be rescheduled for 2026, with the date to be announced soon.

Long-time owners the Huth family put the facility up for sale in summer 2024, and it has now been acquired by ‘an affiliate’ of CrossHarbor Capital Partners and Singer.
