Sassoon General Hospital is not new to controversies. A recent sting operation revealed that a doctor in the neurosurgery department was demanding money from relatives of a patient. Following this, Vasant More, a leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, on Friday met the dean and warned of consequences if “things were not straightened out at the hospital”. The sting operation was carried out by Zubair Memon, who runs an organisation named Maharashtra Muslim Conference (MMC).
