    The local community recently came together for an annual cycling festival. The Tour de Ricky 2025 kicked off at Woodoaks Farm on Saturday, May 31. The event featured three cycling routes of 50km, 100km and 200km, as well as shorter rides led by local cycling group SPOKES. Hundreds of cyclists joined in with the challenges, and many more came to Woodoaks to enjoy the range of activities on offer, including crafts and a children’s obstacle course.

Charlie Daniels ran one mile every day between Monday, April 7, and Sunday, April 20, for Young Lives vs Cancer. Lacing up his trainers every morning of his Easter break, Charlie headed out on his daily mile come rain or shine. Showing new levels of commitment, he also took part in two weekend parkruns during the challenge.

Established in 1995, the Meadow Wood School is a community special school providing education to children aged three to 11.
