Starke County hosts Starke Tank

Seven local entrepreneurs recently vied for seed money at Starke Tank, a pitch competition hosted by the Starke County Chamber of Commerce. The event featured a pitch competition and small business expo. The competition was open to start-up businesses operating no more than three years and new businesses that are not yet operational. The competition took place inside the North Judson-San Pierre High School Performing Arts Center.
NICTD updates West Lake timeline

The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District, operator of the South Shore Line, announced its new Monon Corridor service will be delayed. Also known as the West Lake Project, the new service was slated to open Oct. 31. The delay is due to unexpected rework the NICTD is requiring the contractor to perform. The new estimated timeline for completion is the end of 2025.
