Albert Miller, 35, of Raymond James & Associates in Valparaiso, landed No. 14 for producing $2.5 million in annual revenue. The revenue total was from the 12-month period of Oct. 1, 2023, to Sept. 30, 2024. Raymond James also took top honors as having the most brokers on the list, with 15 honorees, an increase from 11 in 2024.

    While Ashton Verbish's Safety Glow continues to win awards, another team landed a first in STARTedUP history during the Region 4 Innovate WithIN pitch competition April 14. Septo, created by a team from Munster High School, earned a wildcard spot in the state finals. Usually, wildcard winners aren't announced until all six regional events are complete, but Septo's pitch was so strong that judges decided to give them a finalist slot.

    The Greater Rensselaer Chamber of Commerce closed its downtown office after the building it occupied was sold to Truth Bible Church. The church purchased the building last fall but allowed the chamber to continue renting the building till spring. The chamber assures its members and the community that it will continue serving business owners.
