Captain Randy Fogler said at a press conference that an FBI tip led to the deputies securing a warrant Thursday April 24, 2025. The FBI flagged the online communications of 22-year-old Damien Allen because he was discussing a mass shooting with other people.

    A Marysville, California, Police officer was shot and killed in an exchange of fire between a suspected drug trafficker and his SWAT team Wednesday morning, officials said. The slain officer, 27-year-old Osmar Rodarte, was an operator with the Yuba Sutter Regional SWAT team.
