Network Rail will invest £11.5 million to refurbish and replace critical infrastructure on the Far North Line, aiming to boost long-term reliability on one of Scotland’s most remote rail routes. The works include refurbishing a 5-mile stretch of track between Brora and Helmsdale, and replacing nearly 9 miles between Invergordon and Fearn. To carry out the project safely, no trains will run north of Dingwall from 8 June to 30 June.
