The Daily News is a morning newspaper serving Red Bluff and Tehama County in California. Established in November 1885, it is currently owned by MediaNews Group, which purchased it from Donrey in 1999. In addition to the main publication, The Daily News offers various supplements, including Tehama The Magazine, Red Bluff Today, Corning Today, the Tehama County Visitor's Guide, and the yearly Best of Tehama County readers' choice awards. The newspaper has a paid circulation of around 7,000 and is published from Tuesday to Saturday.

At this hour, more than 6,000 customers in Tehama County are without power due to a power outage that may have started at a PG&E blown transformer at about 9:10 PM Saturday. The power outage affects 6,001 customers in the county, including 3,118 within Red Bluff. According to the PG&E outage map, about 2,883 customers in the county’s incorporated area are powerless. The unincorporated areas of those who lost power have reached as far south as Proberta.
