FORT SMITH -- The public is invited Tuesday to join a tribute to law enforcement officers who gave their lives in protecting the community. The Annual Fallen Officer Memorial by the Fort Smith Police Department is co-hosted with the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, according to a press release from the Department. It is set to start at noon Tuesday outside the Sebastian County Circuit Court Building, 901 South B St., the release states.

MULBERRY — The search for a missing kayaker continued ThursdayMay 8 on the Mulberry River just north of Mill Creek. The person was reported missing Saturday afternoon in Franklin County, according to Keith Stephens, chief of communications for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, which is leading the search. The identity of the missing person has not been released.
