FORT SMITH -- The race is on for the second annual Fort Smith General Darby Challenge. The April 27 event will be a fundraiser for the Fort Smith Museum of History and the Darby House. Participants can register on the museum's website to compete in a ruck march, half marathon, 5K or 10K, according to the museum's website. VAN BUREN -- Chapters on Main Bookstore and Coffee Shop is reopening the Chapters Book Club on Thursday. The book club will meet at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at the Van Buren bookstore, located downtown at 816 Main St. According to the store's website, group members will decide at Thursday's meeting what book they will read this month.
