Death, taxes, and Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider drafting running backs. All kidding aside, the Seahawks are entering the 2025 NFL draft with Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet at the position. But as offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak plans to shift to a run-heavy offense, don't be shocked if Schneider takes advantage of a deep running back class by drafting one in the later rounds. The Seahawks have done a ton of homework on running backs in the 2025 NFL draft.

Cornerback isn't a huge need for the Seattle Seahawks entering the 2025 NFL draft. Mike Macdonald's defense is scheduled to enter the upcoming season with Riq Woolen and the recently re-signed Josh Jobe as his boundary starters. Versatile superstar Devon Witherspoon will continue roaming the defensive backfield as needed. That doesn't mean general manager John Schneider isn't going to do his homework.

The Seattle Seahawks have been in the market for a fullback all offseason long. General manager John Schneider confirmed that earlier this month. New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has routinely included the position in his plans over the years. Kubiak used a fullback on 370-plus snaps in 2021, and 270-plus in 2024, this past campaign as the play-caller for the New Orleans Saints. Perhaps the Seahawks are getting closer to finding the ideal fit at fullback.

The Seattle Seahawks are beginning to narrow down their potential options with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Wednesday is the final day teams are permitted to host prospects on pre-draft visits. The Seahawks took advantage by hosting former Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell, according to Corbin K. Smith. Campbell is easily the best off-ball linebacker in the 2025 NFL draft. The Crimson Tide standout was absolutely dynamic this past season, recording 119 tackles and five sacks.

The Seattle Seahawks recently signed veteran quarterback Drew Lock in free agency. Lock is expected to come in and serve as Sam Darnold's backup. He should represent an upgrade on Sam Howell, who failed to impress the coaching staff in that role last season. It represents a reunion between Lock and the Seahawks, who previously spent two campaigns together in 2022-2023 as part of the Russell Wilson trade to Denver. Lock played for then-head coach Pete Carroll.
