Coming out of an OTAs practice earlier this week, a minor, entirely media-made quarterback controversey came out of one bad session from the Seattle Sehawks' new starter, Sam Darnold. The headline was that Darnold had thrown two interceptions in the red zone on three passes, which sounds pretty bad without any context. Nevertheless, head coach Mike Macdonald found himself answering "crazy" questions about what it would take for rookie Jalen Milroe to replace Darnold as Seattle's QB1.

When it comes to national NFL writer, most tend to completely ignore the Carolina Panthers - that is when they aren't ranking them or their players far lower than they actually deserve. There are exceptions to the rule, though. Pat McAfee for one has been impressed by what the Panthers have done this offseason, especially in the draft. The biggest hole on the Seattle Seahawks' roster right now is at right guard, where they tried several different options in 2024 but got no good results. So far at OTAs second-year guard Christan Haynes has been working with the first-string offensive line unit, while Anthony Bradford works with the twos. Both Haynes and Bradford bombed last season playing this spot, and Sataoa Laumea was somehow even worse - he's now in line to be the backup left guard behind rookie Grey Zabel.
