Slow Food International
Slow Food is an international grassroots organization that started in 1989. Its mission is to protect local food cultures and traditions, fight against the fast-paced lifestyle, and rekindle people's interest in the food they consume, its origins, and the impact of their food choices on the world. Since its inception, Slow Food has expanded into a worldwide movement, engaging millions of individuals across more than 160 countries. The organization aims to ensure that everyone has access to food that is good, clean, and fair. Slow Food emphasizes that food is interconnected with various aspects of life, such as culture, politics, agriculture, and the environment. By making thoughtful food choices, we can collectively shape how food is grown, produced, and distributed, ultimately making a positive difference in the world.
