The Brown Daily Herald
The Brown Daily Herald serves as the student newspaper for Brown University, located in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1866, it has been published daily since 1891, making it the second-oldest college daily newspaper in the United States. The Herald operates independently in both finances and editorial content from the university. It releases issues from Monday to Friday throughout the academic year, with extra editions available during commencement, summer, and orientation periods. The newspaper is overseen by a board of trustees that includes two editorial members, two business representatives, and five alumni from The Herald. Numerous graduates of The Brown Daily Herald have pursued careers in journalism, with several earning Pulitzer Prizes for their work.
