The GFWC Meadville Woman’s Club is rolling the dice and trying a new fundraising effort. Later this month, the club will host a card party and game night to raise money for its licensed practical nursing (LPN) scholarships. Each year, the club gives a couple of scholarships to local students who wish to pursue a career in nursing. Since there once was a member of the club, Mary Spaulding, who was a local nurse, many of the club’s fundraising efforts go toward nursing.
