HATBORO, Pa. — Four of the YMCA of Corry Tumbling Tigers made the trip to the state championships held by the Willow Grove YMCA of Greater Philadelphia in Hatboro, Pa. A new honor was bestowed on the top three gymnasts of each level and age group — being named to the “State Stars” all-state team. For this honor, gymnasts received a State Stars leotard.

ELGIN — A field in Elgin has transformed into a vibrant greenhouse and community hub as Misty Meadows Greenhouse prepares for its grand opening on Saturday, April 19, from 2 to 8 p.m.Owner Misty Hovis describes the new business as "so much more than flowers," emphasizing the family-oriented experience she hopes to create on the 15-acre property. The facility includes approximately 6,000 square feet of greenhouse space, a country store and future plans for walking trails and picnic areas.

OIL CITY – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to view its plans and offer feedback on a project to make improvements to Route 77, Route 426, West Washington Street and South Center Street in the city of Corry. The Corry Paving Project includes the following sections of roadway:• Route 77 (West Main Street/Church Street) between the intersection with West Church Street and the intersection with Route 426.

Bruce Fielding, coach of the YMCA of Corry Tumbling Tigers gymnastics team, has been named the 2025 Western Division Pennsylvania Coach of the Year in a new statewide recognition program celebrating excellence in gymnastics coaching. Fielding, who has been coaching the Tumbling Tigers for 13 years, celebrates 35 years of coaching in 2025.

Thanks to unseasonably cold weather — including snow and wind — Tuesday’s sporting events, except for Trap, were postponed. Here, the dugout at the ball field in Columbus sits empty, as snow coats the infield. The cold snap continues for the remainder of the week, with forecasted temperatures topping out in the 40s daily through Saturday, a rain-snow mix predicted for Thursday and rain on Friday.
