The challenge is a joint initiative by National Endowment for the Arts and National Alliance for Musical Theatre. This prestigious program provides high school students the chance to develop their musical compositions. Their work potentially could become part of a full-scale musical.

MADISON – Madeline Harper was so determined to achieve the Silver Award in Girl Scouts that she decided to set a world record to reach it. Madeline is a seventh- grader at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Madison at 1057 Hughes Road. More than 40 other middle school students supported Madeline’s project on May 9.

MADISON – Teachers and staff at Midtown Elementary School decided to honor Judi Brown as “2025 Staff Member of the Year.”“I started in Madison City Schools in 2014 at Bob Jones High School. I worked there for two years until I moved to Rainbow Elementary,” Brown said. With the opening of Midtown Elementary School, Brown transferred to that campus. Midtown is Brown’s current location. She supports the district’s network in her work as Technology Assistant for Madison City Schools.
