The Outerhaven

The Outerhaven

A few years back, some friends and I decided to create a gaming podcast—a space where we could share our thoughts on video games, discussing what we loved, what we didn't, and expressing our opinions. We had no idea that this hobby would serve as the foundation for what we have built today. The Outerhaven Productions began as a simple podcast and has now evolved into a website that covers a wide range of topics beyond just video games, including comics, manga, anime, technology, and more within the geek culture realm. We provide up-to-date news, reviews, and monthly podcasts that discuss both gaming and comics, as well as report on events like IndieCade, New York Comic Con, PAX East, and many others. In recent years, The Outerhaven Productions has experienced significant growth, transitioning from a small site to one that attracts between 100,000 and 200,000 unique visitors each month. We take our work seriously and are dedicated to delivering quality content. We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has supported us—those who read our articles, listen to our podcasts, and watch our videos. We're committed to continuing our work and striving for even greater achievements.

Nintendo has proven over the years that it’s not afraid to work with other developers/publishers on products, or bring them in to help make new entries in its lauded franchises. You might recall Capcom working on Legend of Zelda, SEGA doing F-Zero, and non-affiliated teams like Mercury Steam and Grezzo working on Metroid and Zelda, respectively. Yet, today, it was revealed by groups like VGC that Death Stranding 2 On The Beach was worked on by Nintendo. …wait, how does that work?

There are times I wish I could go around the world on a whim, especially with this heat wave that’s going on. But one of the places I’d love to visit more than anything is Japan, especially Kyoto, where lots of awesome things are. One such “awesome thing” is the Nintendo Museum. This place, the brainchild of the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto, is home to numerous “artifacts” of Nintendo’s long, LONG history. Seriously, they did a lot of things before settling into the gaming industry.

Bandai Namco has finally dropped the release date for Little Nightmares III, so mark your calendar for October 10, 2025. This one’s coming to just about everything: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, although Switch pre-orders will come at a later date. This entry marks a big shift for the franchise, as Little Nightmares III is being developed by Supermassive Games, the folks behind Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology.
