As her team prepared for their first conference game against John Brown University, she expressed frustration, “I just want to play,” she said. Isabella, who majors in sports communication, said balancing soccer and academics had always been challenging, but the injury intensified the pressure.

Cameron Dudzinski has been passionate about literature from a young age. In third grade he read Tuck Everlasting. When he finished the book, he was brought to tears and his love for reading was born. “That story, not sure why, just really resonated with me at such a young age and from there I started to recognize that reading is actually really fun,” Dudzinski said.

Among the early risers is Haylee Bentley, a senior cross-country athlete at Texas Wesleyan University whose dedication and passion for the sport have made her a standout on and off the course. With the sun barely peeking over the horizon, Haylee is not just training for another race; she is forging her legacy. Bentley discovered her love for running at an early age.

His journey hasn’t been a straight path, but it’s one that has made him a respected leader known for his dedication to both students and faculty. Martinez’s story started in Puerto Rico, where he graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 1986.
